On the Couch with Billy Williams

Billy-Williams-AAR-OTCWho is Billy Williams?
A stand-up comic which means late nights, a good deal of writing and laughing A LOT. I can’t believe I get paid to laugh.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
Invest in QR codes. But also I wouldn’t sweat the small stuff. Life is too short.

Who inspires you and why?
All the ferocious women out there!

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Keep recycling and give back to nature.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Nothing beats New Zealand! It’s a combination of walking 40,000 steps one day and being perfectly sedentary the next. All whilst being amongst the most beautiful landscape.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I take friends up to Palm Beach and make them do the short bush walk up to the Barrenjoey Lighthouse. A quick stop at the Bigola rockpool on the way home is always a winner, too.

What are you currently reading?
Matthew Perry’s Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. Could it be anymore entertaining?

What are you currently listening to?
Having just gone to the Florence and The Machine concert I’m listening to the Lungs album. Obsessed!

Happiness is?
Spending time with family and friends. Oh, and getting off stage from an audience that laughed at the right times during my set.

What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully having Cacio e pepe from Via Carota in the West Village. Having lived in NYC for five years that is hands down the best. Oh, and doing the stand-up thing.
