On the Couch with Anthony Gooley

Anthony-Gooley-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is Anthony Gooley?
A slightly balding, slightly overweight, slightly jaded middle-aged actor and father to a beautiful boy.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
Exercise.

Who inspires you and why?
The late, great Philip Seymour Hoffman pretty much colours everything I could only attempt to do on a stage or screen.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I think if I could eliminate all pretension and petty insecurities, a lot of the rest would take care of itself.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
A glass of red wine by a roaring fireplace in the Blue Mountains on a rainy day OR fish and chips on any quiet beach.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
The coziest pub in town.

What are you currently reading?
The God of No Good by Sita Walker. A heart-breaking and hilarious memoir.

What are you currently listening to?
Mainly mixed playlists that I made for my girlfriend. A curious mix of Sam Cooke, The Turtles and Electric Light Orchestra.

Happiness is?
Happiness is cuddles with my son.

What does the future hold for you?
Watching my beautiful son grow up. Probably just more of the same from me.
