I am Creative Producer at Arts House and Director of TippingPoint Australia.

What would you do differently to what you do now?   
I would swim in the ocean at least twice a day.

Who inspires you and why?
Currently my partner’s father who is having chemotherapy and talks about having a PMA (positive mental attitude) to the whole experience.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I’d make ethics and environmental sustainability a compulsory topic at school and in every workplace in the first world….

Favourite holiday destination and why?
I just came back from Wye River on the Great Ocean Rd…Koalas, kookaburras, king parrots, blue wrens, friends ( who can cook), family, swimming, great books….

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take then to, and why?
Half Moon Bay because its stunning and does great fish and chips as the sun sets over the ocean.

Feeling connected to the people I love, making new friends and being nourished body, soul and mind.

What does the future hold for you?
Endless possibilities (especially if they figure out teleporting).

Angharad studied theatre at Dartington in the UK.  In 1994 she became Director of the Performance Space in Sydney. In 1998 she (as Executive Producer) and Gideon Obarzanek established Chunky Move in Melbourne.

Angharad joined Peter Sellars as Associate Director in the 2002 Adelaide Festival, and established an international independent production house, risingtideproductions in 2004. She was appointed Director of LIFT (London International Festival of Theatre) 2005 – 2008 and completed a post grad diploma in cultural leadership at City University, London.

She returned to Melbourne directing and curating the first Australian Theatre Forum in 2009, acting General Manager for Lucy Guerin Inc and producing the Marketing Summit 2010 for the Australia Council. She has been on a number of Boards and Panels: Australia Council Hybrid, New Media and Dance Boards, Lucy Guerin Inc, Real Time, Snuff Puppets and Total Theatre (UK).

Angharad is Director of TippingPoint Australiawww.tippingpointaustralia.com  and The Climate Commissions – www.homeartproject.com energizing the cultural response to climate change.  She is Creative Producer at Arts House – www.artshouse.com.au a contemporary performance centre in Melbourne – City of Melbourne’s contemporary arts initiative.
