Night Creatures: Electric Loneliness

Night-Creatures-Electric-LonelinessAfter their smash hit cabaret Trio of Dips: Love me Tinder in 2018, and their brilliant debut season of Electric Loneliness in 2019, Night Creatures returns to the stage with their glowing vaudevillian, post-modern fairytale at fortyfivedownstairs from 29 April 2021.

Electric Loneliness explores contemporary themes of isolation, human connection, and belonging through vaudevillian storytelling and an eclectic mix of reimagined tunes, from the Bee Gees to Stephen Sondheim to Whitney Houston and much, much more.

This haunting original story follows the Lonely Lady – a multi-limbed chanteuse trapped alone at the bottom of the ocean, and the Lonely Man – a gentle fellow with a penchant for flowers and fantastical seahorses on a quest to fill the hole in his heart.

These unusual, yet relatable characters will take you on an eerie and enthralling journey, meeting a host of slippery and strange creatures as they deep dive toward making sense of their place in the world.

Night Creatures is a Melbourne based company formed by Alexandra Aldrich, Joachim Coghlan, and Owen James. Take a dive into this haunting deep where only the loneliest of creatures dare to light up the dark.
