More Acts Announced for The Eighty-Six

The-Eighty-Six-BezTurning up the heat on one of the world’s most vibrant music cities, The Eighty-Six celebrates Melbourne and its love of music.

There are more venues along High Street between Northcote and Preston than in any other street in Australia, possibly more than any street worldwide.

From 23 – 31 October 2023, the festival will activate and amplify the existing venues: the theatres, record stores, bars, restaurants and bocce and bowls clubs that regularly present music along the 86 tram route.

Collaborating with the small businesses at the heart of Melbourne’s quintessential late-night culture, The Eighty-Six is a music lovers’ paradise. Here are the latest announcement:

Melbourne sound artist Ros Bandt performs on her self-made instrument, the ‘flagong’, a three-tiered vertical glass marimba she made in 1978, as heard on the recently reissued Soft & Fragile. Presented in partnership with Efficient Space.
