No stranger to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, former Adelaide brekky-radio host, Amos Gill is back in town after making a name for himself on the US comedy club circuit and a number of TV appearances.
With his boyish charm, Gill delivers a routine as smooth and refreshing as his libation of choice, vacillating between real life experiences of a teenager growing up in the suburbs of Adelaide and Perth, through to recent outings in the US.
For roughly an hour, audiences are treated to tales of a tight-arse father looking to save a buck, and a mother who is looking for something better in life. From his boyhood shenanigans on a school camp to his encounters with a US porn star, Gill reminds us that things in life don’t always go the way you expect.
Gill is genuinely authentic and instantly relatable, delivering a superb show from start to finish.
