Now in its 34th year, the Postcard Show is a much-loved fixture of Melbourne’s visual arts calendar and continues to evolve to reflect ongoing feedback from artists and patrons alike.

While the majority of entries are from Melbourne and Victoria, artists from every state and territory are represented in this year’s exhibition including First Nations artists and many established artists including Sarah crowEST, Jane O’Neil and Jacqui Stockdale.

Linden’s social partners, including Better Health Network, ArtBus, Port Phillip Community Group and Art Projects Australia are also provided free entries, reflecting Linden’s commitment to creating accessible cultural experiences for all.

This year’s Linden Postcard Show is proudly supported by local businesses and community members from St Kilda, presenting 15 prizes totalling more than $10,000. Among the highlights of this year’s prizes are a new People’s Choice Award and a dedicated First Nations Award, underscoring Linden’s commitment to recognising and celebrating diverse creative voices.

The show also serves as Linden’s main fundraising activity, generating crucial income for the Linden exhibition program. Proceeds from entry fees and sales commissions directly contribute to the commissioning of new art, ensuring continued opportunities for artists to develop and present brave new works at the gallery.

The Linden New Art’s Postcard Show opens on Saturday 7 December 2024, and runs through to Sunday 2 February 2025. For more information, visit: www.lindenarts.org for details.
