Karen Hall: Delusions and Grandeur

Delusions and Grandeur Karen Hall photo by Jeremy David CreativeA solo cello recital meets a clown show, Karen Hall brings her critically acclaimed show, Delusions and Grandeur, to Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, this Spring.

Featuring Suite Number One in G Major by JS Bach and personal comedic pieces crafted in Idiot classes, Karen fuses in a healthy dose of pathos as she tackles identity, expectations, and success through the eyes of a fool.

In this classical cello recital meets performance art clown show, Karen skilfully walks the line between artistry and insanity. Don’t miss this award-winning production!

Karen boasts a diverse resume having graced the stages of Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl to behind the scenes work in studio sessions for everything from indie singer/songwriter albums to work on soundtracks for Emmy-nominated shows.

Karen most visibly spent four seasons on camera as the Cellist on the TV show, Glee, and performs regularly with various symphony orchestras throughout the Los Angeles area. She has worked with notable artists such as Shawn Mendes, Geoff Emerick, and Yoshiki.

When she’s not being a serious classical musician, Karen can be found performing regularly with the clown troupe, The Nonsemble or touring her solo show, Delusions and Grandeur.

Karen is a sought after music educator currently working as the String Program Director at the Pasadena Waldorf School and a Teaching Artist in Residency for The Music Center in Los Angeles.
