Grease – The Arena Experience set to rock Melbourne this weekend

Grease The Arena Experience - photo by Nick MorrisseyThe world’s largest production of Grease is coming to Melbourne for 3 performances only this weekend at Hisense Arena – bringing everyone’s favourite rock and roll musical to life on stage like you’ve never seen it before.

Grease is the timelessly funny story of 1950s teen love, cliques, and peer pressure. Join your favourite Rydell High students, Danny & Sandy, The T-Birds and the Pink Ladies along with a cast of hilarious characters as they jive and bop their way to Graduation. 

With direction & choreography by Callum Mansfield, and musical direction by Dennett Hudson, international drag superstar and entertainer, Courtney Act (aka Shane Jenek) takes on the role of Teen Angel – regarded as one of most fabulous roles in musical theatre.

Courtney Act will be joined by Meghan O’Shea and Damon Wade as Sandy & Danny; Rohan Browne plays all-American rock-star Johnny Casino; Grant Piro joins the cast as disc jockey Vince Fontaine; while Ruby Clark plays Rizzo, the leader of the Pink Ladies; and Chris Geoghegan plays Kenickie, Danny’s best friend and leader of the T-Birds.

Also starring is Stacey De Waard (Frenchy), Dan Venz (Eugene), Libby Hendrie (Patty), Michael Nunn (Sonny), Barnaby Reiter (Doody), Josh Whitten (Roger), Lauren McKenna (Jan), Emily Monsma (Marty), Bil Heit (Ms Lynch), Hayley Martin (Cha Cha), Sarah Clarke, Des Flanagan, Rebel Bliss, Gerry Murphy, and Ellen Tuffley, alongside a mass ensemble of over 500 young performers.

Featuring all the hit songs from one of the most popular movie musicals of all time: You’re the One That I Want, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’ and more… this is Grease on a mega scale!
