Geelong Arts Centre celebrates Grand Opening Festival with free Community Open Day

AAR-Geelong-Arts-CentreOn Sunday 20 August, Geelong Arts Centre (GAC) is thrilled to welcome members of the public to celebrate a free Community Open Day as part of the centre’s Grand Opening Festival.

Following four years of design and construction, the time has finally come to explore the vibrant new spaces of Geelong’s freshly redeveloped arts centre and relish in performances from the region’s finest community theatre, dance and music groups.

Split across the two major theatres and packed with a rotating bill of local entertainment, fun foyer activations and roaming performances, patrons can attend the momentous day anytime between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

The home-grown line-up of performers taking to the stages includes Bellarine Academy of Dance, Blink Dance Theatre, CentreStage, CircArts, Geelong Ballet Centre, Geelong Calisthenics Club, Geelong Dance Movement, Geelong Harmony Chorus, Geelong Lyric Theatre, GSODA, Geelong Youth Choir, Impetus Dance Theatre, JADA Geelong, KF Dance, Motion Dance Company, NORTH Choirs, Soul Sister Swing, Stage Arts Geelong & Torquay Dance Academy.

Come along and celebrate entertainment and creativity with the incredible pool of talent that is the heartbeat of Geelong’s creative community.
