Drew Anthony Creative to present Monty Python’s SPAMALOT in Perth this May

Drew Anthony Creative SPAMALOTDrew Anthony Creative will present the hilarious musical comedy sensation Monty Python’s SPAMALOT to Perth audiences this May.

Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful showgirls, not to mention village idiots, cows, killer rabbits, and French people – and not to mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls?

With Book & lyrics by Eric Idle, Music by John du Prez and Eric Idle, SPAMALOT was a smash hit in both New York and London, and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. Bursting with unforgettable songs, absurd humour, and zany characters, this musical is a rollicking celebration of all things Monty Python.

Directed by Drew Anthony, with choreography by Jamie & Suzi Rolton, SPAMALOT features an all West Australian cast including Chris McCafferty (King Arthur), Holly Easterbrook (Lady of the Lake), Ethan Battle (Sir Robin), Jake Tolich (Sir Lancelot), Jamie Rolton (Patsy), Jamie Papanicolaou (Sir Galahad), Noah Skape (Sir Bedevere) and Zac Porter (Featured Male).

The cast also features Will Basson, Ethan Churchill, Izzi Green, Jessica Jones, Sophie Psaila-Savona and Tiara Volk – with a special onscreen appearance by MONTY PYTHON legend Eric Idle himself, playing the role of God.

Following critically acclaimed seasons of Saturday Night Fever at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre and The Diary of Anne Frank (with an all-WA cast) at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre and Sydney’s State Theatre, Drew Anthony Creative returns to its home base at Planet Royale in Northbridge with SPAMALOT.

With its laugh-out-loud moments and unforgettable anthem Always Look on the Bright Side of Life – the musical is a gloriously entertaining journey that will leave audiences in stitches from start to finish.
