You’ve read the book and seen the movie, but you’ve never experienced anything like Carrie The Musical. Don’t miss this strictly limited season as the most infamous Broadway musical of all-time finally debuts in Australia.
Presented by independent musical theatre company, Squabbalogic, Carrie The Musical is a freshly revised and re-imagined musical take on Stephen King’s gripping classic novel and cult film adaptation. It has been unseen since its infamous 1988 Broadway production where it played only five official performances.
Carrie White is an outcast. Bullied by the in-crowd, virtually invisible to everyone else, and at the mercy of her cruel and controlling mother. But Carrie has just discovered a special power. And if pushed too far, she may not be able to control it.
Many have read the book and watched Brian de Palma’s 1976 film that immortalized Sissy Spacek in a blood-soaked prom dress, and Carrie the Musical is a truly unique experience and a must see for true musical theatre devotees, Stephen King aficionados, and pop culture fans alike.
