Canberra Glassworks announces the appointment of Elizabeth Rogers as their new CEO

AAR-Canberra-Glassworks-Elizabeth-RogersGary Rake, Chair of Canberra Glassworks, has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Rogers as their new Chief Executive Officer.

Elizabeth is a specialist arts administrator and joins the Canberra Glassworks having served as Chief Executive of Regional Arts NSW for the past 15 years.

Elizabeth has a longstanding connection to Canberra, having also previously held the role of Executive Director at Canberra Arts Marketing. Keen to build on our successes of the past decade, Elizabeth says she is looking forward to this new role.

“The Canberra Glassworks, with such a talented team of artists and staff, has established such a strong presence for an organisation that is little more than a decade old,” said Elizabeth. “I am really excited to be able to lead the Glassworks through the next stage of growth and development.”

“I can see wonderful opportunity, along with a few challenges, in the new Kingston Arts Precinct – and I am really looking forward to being one of the positive and proactive influences on the development of that place.”

“I am also keen to support our artistic team and those who work at the Canberra Glassworks – with their pursuit of innovation and excellence in all forms of glass, in their continued collaboration with artists from other fields and with our First Nations People.”

The Board of Canberra Glassworks will issue a separate statement, thanking their current CEO Julie Skate for her service, in the lead up to her final day on 10 September 2021.

Elizabeth will commence in her new role on 18 October 2021. For more information, visit: www.canberraglassworks.com for details.
