The exhibition is scheduled to run from 24 October 2020 to 31 January 2021.

The gallery has big plans to celebrate its 30th birthday milestone as it looks back on the exhibition’s vibrant history. This year’s show will include a special selection of artworks by an illustrious group of Linden Postcard Show alumni, which includes the likes of John Campbell, Abdul Abdullah, Penny Byrne and many more.

The much-loved exhibition is open-entry and attracts artists from across Australia, showcasing thousands of small artworks from a diverse range of artists, from emerging to established. Since 1990, art-lovers and art collectors alike have also been able to buy a mini-masterpiece from the show and support a living artist.

“This is such a special milestone for Linden,” says Linden New Art Director, Melinda Martin. “The Linden Postcard Show is an iconic exhibition that celebrates creativity and inclusivity. It is testament to the popularity of the show that has continued for so many years – it is so well-loved and it actually just keeps getting bigger!

“The show continues to provide an important step in the career of emerging artists, as well as an opportunity for artists to sell their work and connect with a large community of art-lovers. Year after year visitors come to explore the show. We can’t wait to see what new work we receive this year.”

The judges for this year’s show, who will award a series of prizes to selected artists on opening night, are Monash University of Art (MUMA) Director, Charlotte Day and Gippsland Art Gallery Director, Simon Gregg.

Artists can submit up to three works, with no set theme in place. The main rule is that all works must measure 8 x 10 inches (20.32 x 25.4cm) exactly, including any framing. Artists can register their interest prior to entries opening here to receive information on how to submit artworks and the conditions of entry.

Entries for the Linden Postcard Show open Tuesday 14 July and close Tuesday 25 August 2020. For more information, visit: www.lindenpostcardshow.com.au for details.
