Opening the 2027 Forecourt summer season. Angus & Julia Stone will return home to the Sydney Opera House, as part of the Karaoke Bar World Tour, on Sunday 28 February.
The five-time ARIA Award-winners will bring their highly anticipated seventh studio album, Karaoke Bar, to the spectacular harbourfront stage under the stars, alongside enduring fan favourites from their celebrated catalogue.
For nearly two decades, the Sydney-born brother-sister duo have captivated audiences around the world with their intricate melodies, evocative songwriting and intimate, spellbinding performances. A vibrant collection of songs born from adventures spanning the Greek island of Hydra, Tokyo and France, Karaoke Bar carries the spirit of the places, people and moments that inspired its creation.
The performance marks their first national headline tour since their sold-out 2024 tour, and forms part of an expansive summer program across the House, with Dijon, Cat Power and Tara Clerkin Trio among the artists announced and more to come.
Since breaking through with A Book Like This in 2007, Angus & Julia Stone have become one of Australia’s most successful musical exports. Their ARIA Award-winning album Down The Way delivered the enduring classic and triple j Hottest 100 winner Big Jet Plane.
Subsequent releases include their self-titled record in 2014, Snow in 2017 and Cape Forestier in 2024, all of which continued to expand their reach across continents, earning a devoted global following and more than three billion streams.
