Who is Grant Buse?
Grant Busé is a person who finds it difficult to talk in the 3rd person. Some say comic, some say musician, most say stop stalling and just answer the damn question.
What would you do differently to what you do now?
Have a diet and exercise regime that would result in me finally having a six pack. However, as long as we keep having lockdowns, I’m gonna use that excuse to keep buying six packs.
Who inspires you and why?
Tina Fey. Amazing writer, great actor and consistently smashing out top notch comedy for over a decade.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Let’s start with getting everyone vaccinated and safe from corona. Then we can move onto my grand plans with 5G.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Budapest. Good people, history, food, architecture, nightlife and turkish baths. It also passes the artist test – a pint of beer is 1 euro!
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Some bar or cafe down a random alleyway, up a staircase and behind an industrial freezer door. It’s not authentic Melbourne unless you think you’re about to get mugged.
What are you currently reading?
Big Bangs by Howard Goodall.
What are you currently listening to?
Dirty Loops new album – Phoenix. Check out the track, Next To You, if you want to feel insecure about your choice to become a musician.
Happiness is?
A glass of scotch and a negative test result.
What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully a sold out show at Chapel Off Chapel on June 27 for Melbourne Cabaret Festival. Hint. Hint.
Grant returns to Melbourne to deliver a hilarious music-fuelled deconstruction of our selective memories in Grant Busé: SentiMENTAL! at Chapel Off Chapel on Sunday 27 June as part of the 2021 Melbourne Cabaret Festival. For more information, visit: www.melbournecabaret.com for details.
