Award winning singer/songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke will present audiences with an orchestral re-imagining of her celebrated catalogue, featuring favourites from her album O Vertigo!, new material and songs from her most recent Helpmann Award theatre performance The Rabbits.
Perfectly timed with the recently released The Best Of Kate Miller-Heidke ::Act One – a collection of 37 songs in a two-disc package, the concert is the ultimate reflection of her brilliant career. Kate’s soaring vocals will also be accompanied by visuals from multi-award winning Australian director, Amy Gebhardt.
As a composer, Kate has been widely praised for her unique ability to combine moving, heartfelt songs and laugh out loud humour. With a voice that is nothing short of monumental, Kate comes armed with triple-octave pipes that effortlessly switch between screwball lyrebird calls to hymnal-quiet hushes, before breaking out into operatic, glass-breaking siren calls.
Accompanied by an orchestra, they present us with a concert that traverses the worlds of contemporary pop, folk and opera, showcasing the most incredible vocal pipes in the business.
