After the roaring success of the inaugural Victorian Actors’ Benevolent Trust (VABT) Trivia Night in 2025, the demand was overwhelming to stage another similar event, so the VABT are delighted to announce a Very Appealing Showbiz Trivia Fundraiser 2026 to be held on Saturday 13 June 2026.
In what promises to be another night of fun, trivia, games and rare auction items, along with many celebrities making guest appearances throughout the night, all supporting the VABT to raise important funds to assist those in need.
Celebrities attending include Alan Fletcher, Brian Nankervis, Don Bridges, Denise Scott, Geoff Paine, Jack Levi, Katrina Milosovic, Lucinda Cowden, Mark Taylor, Marty Fields, Michael Pope, Richard Stubbs, Sally-Anne Upton, Sian Fuller, Simon Taylor, Steven Gates and special musical performances by The Sarah MacLaine Trio.
“Our first Trivia Extravaganza was a wonderful opportunity for our industry and supporters to come together, have a great time, laugh, sing, win prizes, and support our friends in need,” said VABT president Michael Fry.
“Last year went off so well, we thought we should give it another go. Who doesn’t enjoy music, trivia, games, and silliness?! And oh yes, a great way to raise money too! I do hope you’ll join us,” added Event Emcee and comedian Michael Pope.
The Victorian Actors’ Benevolent Trust is a charity that has been providing emergency financial relief for the entertainment industry since 1958. It has been a lifeline for performers and crew facing hardships.
By attending this event, it will help ensure that actors and creatives receive the support they need during challenging times. Last financial year the VABT assisted industry members with over $100,000 who were in dire need of support.
