Stoddart Entertainment Group has summoned a team of fearless and passionate performers to bring the cult classic Evil Dead The Musical to life (and maybe to death. and back again. and again!) at the Seymour Centre, Sydney, from 20 February and Chapel Off Chapel, Melbourne, from 26 March 2026.
Follow five unlucky college students as they head to a remote cabin in the woods, accidentally unleash a horde of demons, and watch their weekend turn into a symphony of blood-soaked chaos.
Directed by Daniel Stoddart, with musical direction by Mark Bradley and choreography by Lochlan Erard, the cast includes Harley Dasey (As You Like it, Avenue Q) as Ash, Grace Alston (Broadway Unplugged) as Annie / Shelley, Emma Wilby (Tarzan the Musical) as Cheryl, Jake Ameduri (Sister Act, American Pyscho: The Musical) as Scott, Elaina Bianchi (American Pyscho: The Musical) as Linda, Oliver Clisdell (Santa Claus: The Musical) as Ed, and Harrison Riley (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as Jake – with Paloma Renouf (The Producers, Miss Saigon) and Matt Hourigan (The Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale) as Swings.
With book & lyrics by George Reinblatt, and music by Frank Cipolla, Christopher Bond, Melissa Morris and George Reinblatt, based on characters created by Sam Raimi, the songs in the show are completely off the wall with titles including All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons and What the F**k was That?
Evil Dead The Musical features set design by Eric Luchen, costume design by Renata Beslik, lighting design by Jason Bovaird and sound design by Jacob Harwood. Assistant director is Brittney Turner and stage & company manager is Sunday Bowes.
