The Australian Gift & Homewares Association (AGHA) has announced the launch of its latest retail trade event, AGHA Gifted: Melbourne, taking place on Saturday 31 January to Monday 2 February 2026 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
According to the latest retail forecast report from Deloitte, retailers are enjoying their strongest economic outlook in years, buoyed by rising consumer confidence, falling interest rates and growing real wages, saying most signs are pointing in the right direction and we’re on our way to a stronger retail environment.
However, the consumer is more discerning than ever, with cost of living still impacting luxury spending and a greater product choice and demand for high quality, sustainable and ethical products, meaning that deep customer insight and carefully curated product line-ups are essential for a retailer’s success.
With more than 40 years of experience in staging major gift and homewares events, AGHA brings its proven trade-fair expertise to Victoria with a more “intimate and curated” source-market event for wholesalers, importers, manufacturers and suppliers to connect directly with motivated Australian buyers.
The event offers buyers an exciting opportunity to discover what’s new after the Christmas season, a chance to see, touch and experience the latest products first-hand while connecting directly with sellers.
It will feature a comprehensive range of sourcing categories, including homewares and giftware, lifestyle and fashion, jewellery and accessories, food and beverages, pet products, wellness and beauty, kids, toys and games, stationery and greeting cards, outdoor and garden, as well as seasonal products for Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day.
The event is tailored to key buyer segments: independent and online retailers; homeware/lifestyle stores; interior design and hospitality buyers; kids, toys, pets, wellness and fashion sectors and corporate and contract purchasers.
The hands-on experience of seeing, touching, and testing products allows for immediate comparison and a deeper understanding of new developments and innovations within the industry, making it easier for buyers to find their perfect product range for the next year.
Exhibitors will gain direct access to a targeted Victorian buying audience, broadening visibility in one of Australia’s most dynamic retail markets. The benefits of exhibiting include high-visibility, brand awareness, lead generation and trusted peer networking opportunities.
For retail buyers and category-decision makers, AGHA Gifted: Melbourne offers a premiere platform to source new product lines, meet and build relationships with leading Australian suppliers and stay ahead of trend cycles in the gift, homewares and lifestyle spaces.
“Gifted Melbourne 2026 marks our commitment to the Victorian market, delivering a premium sourcing experience that connects Australian suppliers with highly motivated buyers,” said Anita Campbell, CEO of AGHA.
“This event represents a strategic sourcing opportunity for retail buyers across multiple categories who are looking to refresh their offering and build robust supplier relationships heading into the new season.”
AGHA Gifted: Melbourne takes place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from Saturday 31 January to Monday 2 February 2026. Exhibitor enquiries and applications are now open and places are limited. For more information, visit: www.agha.com.au for details.
