NSW arts and cultural touring productions invited to get the show on the road

CreateNSW MAP Guwayu for all time installation works by Karla Dickens Tony Albert and Danie MellorCreate NSW is calling for applications for its first round of 2025-26 Regional Arts Touring Fund, to support homegrown arts and cultural producers eager to take their exceptional shows and exhibitions out on the road to every corner of NSW.

Funding up to $60,000 for Small Tours and up to $120,000 for Large Tours is available for both individual artists and organisations with important stories to be told and experiences to be shared.

Regional Arts Touring is open to a wide range of artforms and for audiences of all ages – First Nations arts and culture, performing arts, visual arts, literature, history and museums, digital and immersive arts – so a broad range of stories can be told.

The Regional Arts Touring Fund has previously supported the powerful First Nations-led truth telling exhibition Guwayu: for all time, and entertaining theatre shows such as regionally-based Echo Theatre’s production of Joanna Murray Smith’s Bombshells.

Touring provides many benefits from increasing the accessibility of arts and culture in regional communities, employment and professional development opportunities for artists, and activating the many world-class venues, galleries, theatres and cultural spaces across the state.

Arts touring is also an important way of connecting talented artists with new audiences especially regional youth through live performance, hands-on workshops and literature programs, to enhance cultural access, deliver engaging education programs and spark creativity.

“Create NSW is proud to offer this dedicated touring opportunity and help deliver high-calibre arts and cultural experiences to audiences across NSW,” said Executive Director Create NSW, Kerri Glasscock.

“We encourage all arts, culture and creative producers with both small and large tours to apply, in particular emerging solo artists and creatives from Western Sydney and regional areas.”

“Arts and cultural tours are critical for artists and regional communities alike, creating professional opportunities and unforgettable experiences that inspire audiences and bring people together in towns across regional NSW.”

Applications for the Regional Arts Touring Fund are now open and close Tuesday 7 October 2025. For more information, including guidelines and to apply, visit: www.create.nsw.gov.au for details.
