These two distinct productions offer audiences the opportunity to experience one of Australia’s most dynamic and creative contemporary dance companies in Wayfinder or a night of fun and feel-good cabaret with Tash York’s Happy Hour.

Dancenorth Australia’s Wayfinder is a powerful fusion of dance, music, and visual art that has been mesmerising audiences across the country. Directed by the visionary duo Amber Haines and Kyle Page, this performance features an electrifying score by three-time Grammy nominated Australian band Hiatus Kaiyote, alongside sound artist Byron J. Scullin.

Premiering earlier this year at MONA FOMA, Wayfinder combines dynamic physicality with a breath-taking soundscape, enriched by hypnotic visual artistry by Japanese-Australian artist Hiromi Tango. The result is an immersive journey that invites audiences to explore the profound connections that define our humanity.

Led by the hilariously charismatic Tash York, known affectionately as the “Trash Queen of Cabaret” – this show is a riot of laughter, music and cheeky fun.

Award-winning and unapologetically bold, Happy Hour combines York’s razor-sharp wit with the vocal talents of her music makers, The Red Red Wines, in a night of feel-good fun.

With riotous improvised songs, powerful harmonies, and Australia’s favourite game, Goon of Fortune, this show is the perfect antidote to the everyday – offering a night of laughter and unforgettable entertainment.

Geelong Arts Centre is proud to support these two extraordinary productions, showcasing the depth of talent and creativity within our vibrant arts community. Don’t miss your chance to be captivated by Wayfinder and swept up in the joy of Tash York’s Happy Hour.
