“The elder statesman of children’s music” – with three generations of fans, Peter has been writing and performing for more than 40 years. He is a three-time Aria Award winner from six Aria nominations and a proud recipient of an OAM award which he received in January 2020.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
Nothing!

Who inspires you and why?
John Cleese. At the age of 84 he’s still incredibly creative, an original thinker, funny, wise. A comedy genius.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Keep performing for children because I believe, along with composing, that’s the thing I do best

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Carrickalinga in South Australia – because we have a beach house there. The best beach I’ve ever seen.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Cobbs Hill Winery in the Adelaide Hills because it’s remarkably beautiful.

What are you currently reading?
Haven’t They Grown by Sophie Hannah.

What are you currently listening to?
Paul Simon’s first solo album simply called Paul Simon, and my own new album which I’m very proud of.

Happiness is?
A feeling that life is worth living and that I’m contributing something positive to the world around me

What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully good health, enjoying my family and friends and happiness.
