Submissions will be accepted until Sunday 20 October, or when 1,000 entries have been received, whichever comes first.

Now in its 34th year, the Post Card show continues to evolve to reflect ongoing feedback from artists and patrons alike. Following on from last year’s successful trial, 2D artworks are now permitted up to 60(h) x 60(w) x 10(d) cm, and 3D pieces up to 60(h) x 40(w) x 40(d) cm. Audio-visual works are also accepted, pending prior discussion with Linden staff. All entries must be submitted with necessary display equipment.

The Linden Postcard show invites artists of all backgrounds and abilities to participate. It serves as a unique platform for artists to showcase their work to a large and engaged audience. Whether you are an established professional or a newcomer to the art world, you are invited to contribute to this celebration of Melbourne’s diverse, artistic community.

The show also serves as Linden’s main fundraising activity, generating crucial income for the Linden exhibition program. Proceeds from entry fees and sales commissions directly contribute to the commissioning of new art, ensuring continued opportunities for artists to develop and present brave new works at the gallery.

This year’s Linden Postcard Show is proudly supported by local businesses and community members from St Kilda, presenting over 15 art prizes. Among the highlights of this year’s prizes are a new People’s Choice Award and a dedicated First Nations Award, underscoring the community’s commitment to recognising and celebrating diverse voices within the art community.

As part of Linden New Art’s commitment to inclusivity, the show is offering over 100 free entries through its Social Partners initiative. This ensures that a diverse range of community members can participate, reflecting Linden’s dedication to creating accessible and engaging cultural experiences for all.

Social Partners for the Linden Postcard Show 2024 – 2025 include Better Health Network, Space2b, Arts Project Australia, Port Phillip Community Group, Artists for Kids Culture, Bridge It and Teen Art Photography Project.
