Young Actors revealed for Melbourne season of The Bodyguard

The Bodyguard Paulini and the Melbourne Fletchers - photo by Jessica BridgemanProducers Michael Harrison, David Ian and John Frost have announced the four young actors who will share the role of Fletcher, the son of the Rachel Marron, during the Melbourne season of the award-winning hit musical, The Bodyguard.

The young actors are Aston Droomer (9 years old), Gabriel Ingram (10), Adam Punsalang (13) and Kershawn Theodore (8) who will perform at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre from 24 August 2017. The Bodyguard begins its Brisbane season at the Lyric Theatre – QPAC on 19 July, following its recent hugely popular Sydney season.

Leading the cast is the fabulous Paulini as Rachel Marron, with Kip Gamblin as bodyguard Frank Farmer, Prinnie Stevens as Nicki Marron and Emily Williams as the Alternate Rachel Marron. Andrew Hazzard is playing Sy Spector, Patrick Williams is Bill Devaney, Brendan Irving plays the Stalker, Damien Bermingham is Tony, and Glaston Toft plays Ray Court.

The ensemble cast comprises Kirrah Amosa, Anthony Bartley, Samantha Bruzzese, Amy Campbell, Olivia Carniato, Chris Van Doren, Heath Keating, Bree Langridge, Sasha Lian, Samuel McKeown II, Lachlan Martin, Priscilla Stavrou, Maxwell Trengove, Blake Varga and Geoffrey Winter.

Based on Warner Bros’ 1992 hit movie, which starred Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, the musical features a book by Oscar winner Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman), adapted from the original screenplay by the acclaimed, Oscar-nominated screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Big Chill, The Empire Strikes Back).

The breathtakingly romantic thriller features a whole host of irresistible classic songs including: Queen of the Night, So Emotional, One Moment in Time, Saving All My Love, Run to You, I Have Nothing, Greatest Love Of All, Million Dollar Bill, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and one of the greatest hits of all time –  I Will Always Love You.
