Yeti’s Demon Dive Bar

Yeti's Demon Dive BarThe UK powerhouse musical comedy duo EastEnd Cabaret have returned to Australia and the 2016 Melbourne International Comedy Festival to premiere their brand new, no-holds-barred, raucous and risqué musical sketch comedy extravaganza, Yeti’s Demon Dive Bar.

The boisterously offbeat lovechild of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Mighty BooshYeti’s Demon Dive Bar is brought to life by the creative minds behind the internationally acclaimed EastEnd Cabaret -Jennifer Byrne, Vicky Falconer-Pritchard and Tom Velvick.

It’s a typically high-energy and hysterical combination of comically bizarre characters, relentlessly catchy songs and the story of the strangest little dive bar in town. Your hosts, Frankie Doom (demonic diva) and the “Furious” Fang (one-sixteenth werewolf and proud of it) introduce a line-up of characters to rival The Addams Family; from the overly amorous yeti who owns the bar to a sleazy severed head and the cosmic stylings of the Psychedelic Nuns amongst others – all played by the same two performers.

This cavalcade of weirdoes have come together to present a night of entertainment that you won’t find anywhere else in this universe. In just a few years, the duo has stormed to the forefront of the international comedy circuit, their place confirmed by being named on the Hospital Club Culture 100 – a prestigious list of the most innovative, interesting and influential people working in the British creative and media industries.

Audiences all over the world have been seduced by the globe-trotting multi-award-winning double act. Packed full of salacious original songs, stories delivered with razor-sharp wit, and undeniable musical skill, their previous shows have received 5 star reviews and played to sold-out audiences at London’s Soho Theatre, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Closer to home they have stormed Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe and Fringe World Perth in recent years, taking out the Best Cabaret Award at the 2012 Adelaide Fringe. Their TV credits include BBC Three’s Live at the Electric, NBC America’s Before The Morning After and Comedy Up Late for ABC TV.
