On the Couch with Tottie Goldsmith

Tottie Goldsmith Arts Review On the CouchWho is Tottie Goldsmith?
I’m a mother to an awesome 24 years old gal named Layla Rose Lee. I’m an actress, singer in an Aussie girlie pop band called The Chantoozies. I’m playful, affectionate, purposeful, mindful, vulnerable and strong.

What would you do differently to what you do now?
Hmmmm, what would have done differently when I was younger is easier to answer. I would have thought less and trusted more… I do that now, I trust my gut and I’m happier than I’ve ever been.

Who inspires you and why?
Many people do actually. When I am in the presence of people that have a clear sense of purpose and go about it with empathy, dignity, and modestly.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I do my little bit to help. Lots of little bits make up a HUGE big bit. For example, I don’t eat meat because I’m aware of the impact that the industrialization of meat has had on our planet, not to mention human health and the cruel way in which the animals are forced to live. I’m also aware that our thoughts and intentions have an impact on the vibration of the planet, so I meditate to stay less stressed and more conscious.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
My bed, I never seem to get time to languish in it and I LOVE to languish.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
To meet my dad. He’s a treasure, a one in a million guy and everyone who meets him walks away inspired and with a funny story to share.

What are you currently reading?
My head is buried in my Calendar Girl script, outside of that? My boyfriend’s mind hahaha!!

What are you currently listening to?
A mindfulness meditation app called Smiling Mind. I’m doing it in my lunch break and it reboots me for thy second part of the day during rehearsals.

Happiness is?
Being surrounded by people that I love drinking, eating and laughing with.

What does the future hold for you?
Lashing of theatre, laughter, creativity and love. ABUNDANCE!
