With only a few weeks until the anticipated music event of the summer, The Pleasure Garden has announced the theatrical and tasty additions that will join its diverse and unique musical program. With a line-up of 40 bands and DJ’s over four stages, gourmet food offerings, carnival rides and boutique cocktails, maximum summer party times are ensured.
The one-day festival, which will be headlined by Fat Freddy’s Drop, Canadian glitch superstar Stickybuds, and include performances by Ed Solo, Baker Boy, Opiuo, Montaigne, Remi, L-Fresh The Lion and Willaris.K, will also host mischievous roving theatrical performances, inspiring art installations and large, thematic stages.
Hula hoop dynamo Elle Indika, horn busting Havana Palava, floral wearing Bouquet Babes, stilt masters and movers Empress Stilt Dance, and the peculiar and wonderful beasts of the Kinetic Theatre Company will bring purveyors and creatures of all sizes to Catani Garden – and more!
Surrender your taste buds to the deliciousness of ChillBro Paletas and Sweet Mistake, while Sparrow’s Philly Cheese Steaks, Owen’s Ovens, Vegelicious, Nuoc Mama’s, The Shrimp Pimp, Tish Faco, Kombi Burger, Rice and Dice, Thai Pop, The Art Of Fried Chicken, Meat Me Here will take over meal duty. Boutique cocktails along with Kombucha connoisseurs The Good Brew Company will provide their eco friendly and delicious beverages all day and night.
A delight for the senses, and a treat for the soul, The Pleasure Garden is a place where imagination and magic coalesce into sensory wonder. This year, organisers have added an element of decadence to the garden day party and asked Festival goers to dress in the theme of “Birds of Paradise”. Those in costume will receive a free cocktail and one lucky gardener will have the chance to win a life-long ticket to the festival!
Set to a backdrop of picturesque parkland, complete with lush green lawns and shady palm trees to relax under, the unmissable event will be filled with colour, movement, eye-catching décor and art. The Pleasure Garden takes place on Sunday 9 December in St. Kilda’s Catani Gardens. For more information, visit: www.thepleasuregarden.com.au for details.
