The Nursery Web

The Butterfly Club The Nursery WebA captivating look into the nuances and intricacies of falling in love, loving and falling out of it all, Kotryna Gesait presents The Nursery Web at The Butterfly Club from 1 February 2017.

Told through the eyes of three couples of different ages, experiences, orientations and philosophies, The Nursery Web explores just how incredibly strange and upside down loving can be.

This isn’t your sappy rom-com where the lines are cheesy and sex is set to a Mariah Carey soundtrack, nor is this your experimental Spanish film that makes you break out in cold sweat and take a vow of celibacy. No, this is truth, or as close to it as we can try to get.

This is a play about what falling in love, being in love and falling out of it really feels like. It is an emotional immersion into the wacky, weird, sexy and utterly heartbreaking realities of romantic relationships.

An innovative playwright and recent arrival from New York City, Kotryna Gesait brings a fresh alternative view into romance to Melbourne, with an all Australian cast this new play is an exciting insight into the feeling we’ve all sung, cried, laughed and screamed about so many times.
