A high-octane verbal cage match about love, fidelity and a misplaced hat, Stephen Adly Guirgis’ Tony Award-winning Broadway hit The Motherf**ker with the Hat playing at Eternity Playhouse from 19 September.
Things are looking up for recovering alcoholic and ex-con Jackie and his girlfriend Veronica, until Jackie spots another man’s hat in their apartment. Anti-hero Jackie stumbles and bumbles his way through plans of revenge, through love, and towards redemption.
Fast-paced and uproarious, The Motherf**ker with the Hat is a romantic comedy of the gritty and fouled-mouthed kind and a gleeful look at modern love and other addictions.
Workhorse Theatre Company’s fiery production under the direction of renowned theatre director, Adam Cook is excited to revisit this work, “We had great success with this production last year in the intimate environs of the Tap Gallery, and I am so excited that we’ll have the opportunity to share this story with a much bigger audience at Eternity Playhouse.
