Following a preview run at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in September, The Best of Film – Live return for a limited season at Melbourne’s The Butterfly Club.
Unlike other improvised shows, The Best of Film – Live is a single connected narrative that plays and parodies famous genres and film tropes. Each night the cast ask the audience for a title, who then bring that film to life on stage!
The Best of Film – Live is based on an improvised show called The Movie created by comedy legend Del Close and has been performed all over America; including the illustrious iO Chicago and iO LA, and The Upright Citizens Brigade, and many more.
The cast includes some of Melbourne’s finest improvisers, comedians and actors, who have previously performed in The Improv Conspiracy (sell out shows in 2013 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Melbourne Fringe) as well as The Big Hoo-Haa, Melbourne.
