Teena Munn to farewell Windmill Theatre in 2015

Teena Munn editorialWindmill Theatre Company will farewell its General Manager and Producer, Teena Munn, after almost a decade with the highly successful South Australian company.

During her time with Windmill, Teena has worked alongside Artistic Director, Rosemary Myers to successfully build the company and to firmly cement its reputation as one of the leading theatre companies for young people in Australia.

Her considerable leadership skills and experience in producing and touring have helped expand and develop new markets for national and international touring while increasing both the company’s reach and audience numbers.

Teena has also been responsible for increasing the company’s financial stability through the support of federal and state government and the private sector, as well as the successful negotiation of major national and international financial and producing partnerships.

“It has been a fabulous journey and I am very proud of this exceptional company and I will be very sad to leave, but I know that it is in great shape and in very good hands – especially those of Rose and the wonderful Windmill team,” said Ms Munn.

“My goal when I joined the company was to work with the team to take Windmill to a stronger and much higher level and I feel that we have achieved that. Now I am ready for new challenges.”

Ginger Fitzpatrick, Chair of the Windmill Board added, “Teena has been an integral part of Windmill’s ongoing success since she joined the company and has worked tirelessly and passionately in doing so. Although we are sad to see her go, Teena leaves Windmill in a very strong position and leaves us with our very best wishes.”

Teena will remain with the company until March 2015 to manage the finances of Windmill’s first feature film, the New York season of Pinocchio and the company’s move to new premises. Teena will remain working in the arts industry as a consultant with her company Visible Management.
