Sydney’s favourite cabaret night SHOW QUEEN is back!

Trevor Ashley Show QueenHosted by Trevor Ashley, Sydney’s favourite cabaret night SHOW QUEEN is back from Sunday 24 September featuring a hand picked line-up of Australia’s most talented and celebrated musical theatre stars alongside the next generation of performers.

Celebrating ten years since the first SHOW QUEEN at its birthplace, Ginger’s on Oxford Street, the return season opening night features Helpmann Award winner Alex Rathgeber (Anything Goes, The Wizard of Oz), Erin Clare (We Will Rock You, Heathers), Josh Robson (My Fair Lady, West Side Story), Margi De Ferranti (Ruthless, Mamma Mia), Tom Sharah (Muriel’s Wedding) and cabaret icon Catherine Alcorn (Cathartic, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche).

Trevor began SHOW QUEEN in 2007 to highlight the exceptional emerging talent in Australia, and only put it on hold to cement his status as the ‘busiest man in Australian show-business’ amid sell-out tours of Liza on an ‘E, Liza’s Back (Is Broken) and Diamonds Are For Trevor (also broadcast on Foxtel), and leading roles in Hairspray, Les Miserables (Helpmann Award nominee) and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well directing Heathers: The Musical (Hayes Theatre Co and Sydney Opera House) and Mack & Mabel (Hayes Theatre Co).

Co-produced by Chris Archer and Trevor Ashley, with Musical Director Steven Kreamer (Assassins, Little Shop of Horrors, Side Show, Rent, Broadway Unplugged) leading a three-piece band, the revised format promises to have more glamour, more excitement and more musical royalty than before, featuring the most loved songs of Broadway and new interpretations of classic showstoppers.
