On the Couch with Svetlana Panov

CPAC Svetlana PanovWho is Svetlana Panov?
I am a mother, wife, artist and chef.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
I would love to learn how to play an instrument.

Who inspires you and why?
People who create inspire me, because they are actually doing instead of just talking about it.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I hope that when people view my artwork that they smile, feel happy and connect with their inner playfulness. I want people to realize that they are creative as well. Maybe that’s not making a big difference in the world but I hope it makes a difference on a personal level.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
A place I haven’t been before, to experience something new.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I would definitely take them to the city of Sydney. There are so many things to experience, galleries, shopping, restaurants and of course our beautiful harbor.

What are you currently reading?
Nothing, I would rather spend my time creating.

What are you currently listening to?
Freya Ridings and The Potters cast.

Happiness is?
Spending time with my family and expressing myself artistically as much as I want.

What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully many more opportunities to exhibit in Australia and around the world.

Svetlana’s work can be seen in the virtual exhibition, Seeds of Our City – a collaboration between Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre (CPAC) and globally renowned design and engineering firm Arup. For more information, visit: www.arup.com for details.
