What would you do differently to what you do now?
Medical Doctor

Who inspires you and why?
There are so many, but pressed Brit Marling, James Dean, Lars Von Trier, Gaspar Noe. Why do they inspire me? They are many reasons but Brit Marling because she is deeply intelligent, enterprising, has a great DIY attitude and unafraid of failure. Lars Von Trier because he is a forward thinker, a great story teller and never ceases to surprise, intrigue, shock and move me. Gaspar Noe for his sense of invention and James Dean for his enduring legacy, even with only three films.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
If I could, I would fund all the animal liberation organization and bring new criminal laws against animal cruelty.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Venice. I don’t know why, it’s the most beautiful city – like heading back in time. But only in the winter season, not the summer.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take then to, and why?
Pellegrini’s in Bourke Street. It’s still as it was years ago, love the atmosphere and of course, the spaghetti Bolognese.

What are you currently reading?
I’m reading three books at once: I’m revisiting David Mamet’s True and False, Olson’s The Confessions of Aubrey Beardsley and about to get into Imperial Bedrooms by Brett Easton Ellis.

What are you currently listening to?
James Wallace aka Wintercoats, Dr. Doctor, TANTRUMS and the occasional Tom Jones (It’s Not Unusual).

Happiness is?
Boring, a bit of misery keeps everything in perspective.

What does the future hold for you?
Longevity, good health, making numerous trips abroad and making a new feature film for Europe.
