On the Couch with Paul Day

Paul-Day-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is Paul Day?
Paul Day has been many things in his lifetime, but is currently a script writer, movie director, and musician, working full time at his independent production house Angel Studios.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
Nothing! I love what I do now and would like to do more of it.

Who inspires you and why?
People who ignore the negative, and strive against the odds to make the world a better place. Fearless filmmakers who aren’t afraid to challenge the norms.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I try to create things that entertain, and help people find happiness. I try to encourage people who are starting out in the arts, and teach them skills to help them develop their creativity.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Europe, because I like to absorb the emotion and the history of the locations.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
My favourite coffee shops in and around South East Queensland, because you can never have too much good coffee.

What are you currently reading?
The Art of War by Sun-tzu. Make of that what you will.

What are you currently listening to?
I’m currently getting into a lot of Celtic music, mainly from Scotland and Ireland. Some of my favourites are Niamh Farrell, Abby Molloy, and Faun.

Happiness is?
Creating music and films with an enthusiastic cast and crew. I love the camaraderie of working with a team of like-minded people.

What does the future hold for you?
I’m looking forward to winning the lotto and being able to travel again so I can pursue my passions of photography and film making, and find some inspiration to write some more great stories.
