Who is Henry Brett?
I’m a graduate of The Victorian College Of The Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Musical Theatre). I live in Melbourne, but I’m about to make my Sydney debut performing in the Australian premiere of The View UpStairs at The Hayes Theatre Co.
What would you do differently to what you do now?
I should probably monitor my potty mouth a little better.
Who inspires you and why?
Local artists who perform or release their original work. It’s such a scary thing to put your own creations out there and I find any artist that makes the leap inspiring.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Use less plastic bags!
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Not to sound depressing but I honestly haven’t been on many holidays in my life. I can’t say it’s my favourite holiday destination as I’ve never been but I’m certainly keen to explore New York. I know, how cliche that a Musical Theatre grad would want to visit Broadway!
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Hmm well I love taking people to Escape Rooms, though to be honest, I’ve already done most of them in Melbourne.
What are you currently reading?
Just the script. That’s all I find myself reading lately.
What are you currently listening to?
I listen to so many different genres and styles, but admittedly I always gravitate towards dark, moody alternative pop music. Lana Del Rey is heavily featured in the soundtrack of my day!
Happiness is?
Finding extra fries in the bottom of the bag.
What does the future hold for you?
I predict I’ll be spending a little more time in Sydney!!
