Who is Genevieve Mooy?
She is the first of seven who was raised in a little country town in the north east of NSW called Tamworth, she doesn’t sing country and western but she could if asked. Moved to the big smoke to train to be a nurse but chose to be an actor, who now resides in the gorgeous city of Adelaide.
What would you do differently to what you do now?
Pursue more study just for the pleasure of it such as architecture or interior design.
Who inspires you and why?
The extraordinary Coral Browne inspires me as I am just about to do a one woman show about her in Melbourne, She carved out the most amazing career for herself by using her will, drive, craft and wit despite the terrors she often experienced. With no formal training, and a rudimentary education, she developed her craft through experience. She was a trailblazer.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
No more plastic – it’s killing the planet.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Japan for its beauty, culture art and especially the people.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take then to, and why?
Anywhere there is nature, the sea, the hills – so much to see in Adelaide.
What are you currently reading?
Directing Actors by Judith Western.
What are you currently listening to?
Clarksdale Mississippi the home of the Blue’s – Live streaming Radio.
Happiness is?
An open heart filled with Love.
What does the future hold for you?
More learning hopefully!
