Who is Felice Aguilar?
I am an acrobat and dancer from Germany, living in a small town called Schweinfurt in Bavaria. As a former rhythmic gymnast I found my way to the show stage and I love to perform. Because of this passion I am now able to be here in Australia.
What would you do differently to what you do now?
Actually I am quite happy with how things are and I think somehow everything happens the way it does for a reason… So maybe just worry less!
Who inspires you and why?
A lot of people! Not only circus artists although I love to watch all the different Acts and just let myself be inspired by that. That is one reason I started doing circus because I watched so many shows and felt always so inspired afterwards. But I find inspiration everywhere and in everyday life. Sometimes it is also the small things like something you read or see in a movie or a good conversation with a friend.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Again in this case I think the small things can make difference. Try not to produce so much waste, be thankful and kind to everyone, always try to keep a good energy and give everything to find compromises and solutions when there are problems. Just be there for each other and make conscious decisions when it comes to the environment and just do good to inspire others to do the same.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Somewhere new because it inspires me to get to know a new country or city.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Show them around so they get a feeling of the town I live in. So a little bit of sightseeing, just the most important places that I like to go to, my favorite coffee place, our training space and have a tea and good conversations just at home. When there is a festival like e.g. a wine festival (we have very good wine!) Or Christmas market, I would take them there.

Oprah Winfrey – What I Know For Sure.
What are you currently listening to?
At the moment the new Spotify singles from Alicia Keys or a good podcast.
Happiness is?
Having a place that feels like home and being surrounded and supported by people you love. Being thankful for what you have.
What does the future hold for you?
Well… work wise, I hope to be a director when I can’t perform anymore but more importantly I hope for health for me and my friends and family, having a family myself… and some good surprises!
Felice stars in Cirque Stratosphere – which is currently playing at the Canberra Theatre Centre until 21 December, before heading to the Sydney Opera House (24 – 29 December 2019 and 14 – 19 January 2020) and Hamer Hall – Arts Centre Melbourne (3 – 11 January 2020).
