David Simes AAR On the CouchWho is David Simes?
I’m a 25 year old actor, singer and dancer, I’ve been playing the role of Hoot on Giggle and Hoot for the ABC over the last year. As an actor I’m always auditioning for things but the tv shows keeps me very busy!

What would you do differently to what you do now?
If I wasn’t an actor, I’d go back and work in advertising. I have a bachelor of business with a marketing major. I also have a video production company that I also work on, alongside performing.

Who inspires you and why?
Multifaceted performers, someone whose career spans across several mediums such as film, television, theatre and music.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Improving performing opportunities for young people, especially kids from the country who don’t have the same options that city kids do.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Jervis Bay – I love the beaches there, nothing like swimming in the crystal clear water for hours!

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I love taking friends on the Bondi to Coogee walk then having lunch on the beach. Some of the best views in the country!

What are you currently reading?

What are you currently listening to?
The Greatest Showman soundtrack.

Happiness is?
Wherever my family is.

What does the future hold for you?
More performances of my one man show, It’s De-lovely. I’m hoping to tour the show nationally over the next year.
