On the Couch with David Collins

David-Collins-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is David Collins?
An actor who lives in the moment and finds humour in every situation, especially at a funeral.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
My trajectory has always been towards more serious acting roles. Bollywood here I come.

Who inspires you and why?
Anybody doing things differently. I’m never impressed by things I think I can do myself.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Exactly what I’m doing now. Travelling the world making people laugh has got to get me points in heaven right?

Favourite holiday destination and why?
I’m away so much my favourite holiday destination is being home with my family.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
There are so many hidden beaches in Sydney that not even Sydneysiders know about.

What are you currently reading?
Roald Dahl’s short stories are freaking me the hell OUT at the moment. The last book I completed was Fiona O’Loughlin’s autobiography Truths from an Unreliable Witness. As shocking as it is hilarious.

What are you currently listening to?
Hip Hop is played constantly in our house thanks to every member of my family being obsessed with it. In the car I’m into podcasts – I flick between WTF with Marc Maron, The Daily, Casefile & ABC Conversations.

Happiness is?
To love and be loved. As long as there are cats around.

What does the future hold for you?
Internationally recognised actor within the next 2 years. Sounds easy right?
