On the Couch with Ben Mingay

Ben Mingay Arts Review On the CouchWho is Ben Mingay?
A laid back bloke who totally agrees with Shakespeare.

What would you do differently to what you do now?
I’ve always wanted to be a carpenter.

Who inspires you and why?
My parents. My dad built his own business through hard work and determination, he taught me the importance of loyalty and leadership. My mum somehow managed to wrangle 5 kids into a very caring family… who love hanging out with each other. They are both amazing people.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I hope to one day have a big enough sounding board to help make a mark on climate change, recycling and animal cruelty… I hate wasting things.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Italy. Because Italy. And basically anywhere off the beaten track in Australia. My wife and I like going ‘exploring’ without any plans… we just load up my Landcruiser and randomly turn down any dirt road and see where it takes us.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I take friends out on my boat. Sea Ray 210 Signature Bowrider. Sydney Harbour is the absolute best!

What are you currently listening to?
Keith Richards biography. Wow!

What are you currently listening to?
The Oklahoma! soundtrack.

Happiness is?
Family.

What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully a lot of diversity… and kids!
