On the Couch with Audrey Powne

Audrey Powne Arts Review On the CouchWho is Audrey Powne?
She is a Trumpet Tooter and Cultured Crooner. A troublemaking attention seeker from way back.

What would you do differently to what you do now?
Waste less food/water/money/energy/TIME!!

Who inspires you and why?
My mum, Fiona, because she’s tough as nails but soft as a cotton wool.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Give all women access to education or lock Donald Trump in a cupboard.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
New Orleans because in that town, life really, TRULY is a party (and jazz…)

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I’d take them to see one of my favourite Melbourne Bands, Sex On Toast, The Largerphones, DXHeaven, Uncomfortable Science or The Rookies just to name a few, because these bands make music that leaves me brimming with pride and bursting with joy!

What are you currently reading?
How to Be Both by Ali Smith.

What are you currently listening to?
Snarky Puppy.

Happiness is?
Gentle Thoughts by Herbie Hancock (Listen to it and try not to smile…)

What does the future hold for you?
I will make a lot of music whether it is successful is yet to be seen but it will be honest. Hopefully I will one day have a dog to call my own.
