MiG AYESA returns to Australia to feature in Thriller Live

Mig-Ayesa-Blood-on-the-DancefloorCelebrating the music of the world’s greatest entertainer, Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five, Thriller Live is set tour nationally from December with news that one of the leads from the West End production, MiG Ayesa will return to Australia to headline the cast in this spectacular show.

MiG has a huge list of achievements as a stage and concert performer here in Australia and around the world.  MiG finished third in the global hit TV show  Rockstar: INXS, and released his self-titled debut album, MiG, through Decca/Universal.  He was an original cast member of Handel’s Messiah Rocks: A Joyful Noise and his latest album, More Than Ever was released late 2011.

MiG started his professional career in Australia playing ‘Ritchie Valens’ in Buddy, and was then chosen to join the London cast including a Royal Variety Performance.  He went on to star in many West End musicals including We Will Rock You, Rent, and in Thriller Live. His Broadway credits include Burn the Floor, and Rock of Ages. Back in Australia, he has played in Grease, Cinderella, West Side Story, and toured Australia and Asia with The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

MiG starred as ‘Joe King’ in the AFI Award winning TV series The Ferals, and will soon appear as the co-host with Sophie Sumner on the new TV travel show, Phil It Up. His other TV credits include Mission: Top Secret, Hits and Memories, and Hey Hey It’s Saturday, just to name a few. MiG’s film credits include playing a Brooklyn Vampire in Queen of the Damned and a latex-covered serial killer in Subterano.

Thriller Live will open in Perth in December, before touring to Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.  A company of 45 international and Australian performers, musicians and crew will bring Thriller Live to life in this Australian premiere production.

Thriller Live is over two hours of non-stop hits from pop to rock, soul to disco in a show that pays homage to Michael Jackson’s legendary live performances and the magic of his 45-year musical history, featuring stunning choreography and Michael’s innovative dance moves executed with flair, precision and passion in a show that fans will never forget.

Thriller Live contains all of Jackson’s favourite songs including: I Want You Back, ABC, Can You Feel It, Off The Wall, The Way You Make Me Feel, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, Dirty Diana, Bad, Rock With You, They Don’t care About Us, Dangerous, Heal The World, and Thriller plus many more!

Having played on London’s West End since 2009, Thriller Live last month entered the record books as the 20th longest running musical in West End history.
