The magic and fire of the Flamenco is coming to Australia when the Internationally acclaimed Las Minas Puerto Flamenco bring their ensemble of dancers and musicians to Melbourne and Sydney this October.
Las Minas Puerto Flamenco is a jaw-dropping performance of flamenco like you’ve never seen before. Led by Artistic Director, Angel Rojas, eleven performers, each masters of their specialty, come together for two spellbinding hours of music, dance and singing in celebration of the rich culture of flamenco.
An energetic mix of storytelling and expression sits at the core of this passionate performance. The show journeys through the history of Flamenco, exploring the influences of the various ports where the style evolved through interaction with music from across the world including habaneras, Colombians, vidalitas, milongas and guajiras.
The show features eleven artists – dancers, singers and musicians. The stunning musical offering marries skilled vocals, guitar and percussion, punctuated with flamenco flutes, saxophone, clapping and the joyous knocking of dancing shoes over the stage. This sound spectacle engulfs the exquisite flamenco dancers as they move amongst the musicians, with all performers dressed in works from high fashion designer and costume visionary Francis Montesinos.
