With tickets to 34 shows now available, the first taste of the 2018 program promises a good dose of comedy, dance, music, cabaret, theatre and much more.

Adelaide Fringe Director and CEO Heather Croall said Fringe-goers could expect another jam-packed festival full of events that will dazzle, inspire and challenge audiences. “The events released on sale today cover a wonderfully broad range of genres and themes, and there’s a great mix of new works and highly successful shows returning in 2018,” said Ms Croall.

“It’s always fun to give our audiences a sneak peek of what’s on offer. We can’t wait to launch the full program in December so everyone can see the huge variety of diverse events being held at next year’s Fringe.”

The shows on sale include the return of popular 2017 Fringe acts, Blanc de Blanc, Fuego Carnal and Anya Anastasia: Rogue Romantic and from 2016 the hit show, A Night at the Musicals. Next year’s festival will also feature the comedic talents of Wil Anderson, Dave Hughes, Kitty Flanagan and Joel Creasey.

Musical offerings will include the world premiere of Belly of a Drunken Piano by Stewart D’Arrietta – whose 2017 Fringe tribute show My Leonard Cohen received rave reviews. Meanwhile Shell Shock by Guy Masterson is a darkly comic tale of an ex-army medic struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, and one of six theatrical works available for ticket purchases from today.

“We encourage festival-goers buy their tickets early and show their support for these Fringe artists. Don’t miss out on seeing some new and exciting works next Fringe,” said Ms Croall said. A second round of shows will go on sale on Wednesday 25 October and a third round on Wednesday 15 November 2017.

The 2018 Adelaide Fringe will run from 16 February to 18 March. The full program will be released on Friday 8 December 2017. For more information, visit: www.adelaidefringe.com.au for details.
