Multi-award winning performer Emily Taylor, fresh from six hit seasons of her highly acclaimed solo show Cannonball, returns to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with a brand new hour of satire, sketch, storytelling and character comedy in PET.
Masterfully unleashing a smorgasbord of odd, complex and endearing characters, Emily also shares her own experiences as she explores the highs, lows and psychological implications of pet ownership. Hilarious, ridiculous and at times terrifyingly truthful, PET is the best way to spend happy hour this Comedy Festival!
Riddled with furry friends since childhood, Emily has worked in pet shops, grooming salons and is currently “carer” to three cats. Keen to avoid her fate as a crazy old cat lady, she takes this timely opportunity to ask some tough questions. The problem with tough questions though, is they usually have tough answers.
Emily Taylor is an award-winning actor and has worked extensively as a solo artist and with Spontaneous Broadway, Impro Melbourne, and Impro Sketch. She has co-created two improvised cabaret shows: Is This Your Life and Ten Minutes of Fame. She is also the face of the Coles New Girl advertising campaign.
