Behind Closed Doors

EDC Behind Closed DoorsWelcome to a thrilling world where things aren’t what they seem… Unleash your inner voyeur as Expressions Dance Company (EDC) presents Behind Closed Doors in the Playhouse – QPAC from 19 May 2017.

In this stunning work, choreographed by EDC’s Artistic Director Natalie Weir, you’ll take a scintillating peek through hotel room doors and be drawn into the private lives of staff and late night guests. Showcasing breathtakingly beautiful and athletic dance by the exceptional Expressions Dance Company, this poetic kiss-and-tell reveals the darkness, playfulness and fragility of human nature.

A veritable feast for the senses this poetic kiss-and-tell features seductive modern jazz performed live on stage by Queensland’s Trichotomy, as well as special guests, acclaimed Brisbane-based vocalist Kristin Berardi and saxophonist Rafael Karlen.

Behind Closed Doors explores the playfulness and fragility of human nature,” says Weir. “It has moments of joy and moments of sadness and everything in between. Lovers of live music will especially appreciate Brisbane band Trichotomy performing its modern jazz live on stage alongside the dancers. “
