Andi Snelling in #DearDiary

Andi Snelling DearDiaryWhat if your past could speak to you? Fresh from a completely sold-out season at the 2016 Adelaide Fringe, Andi Snelling’s critically-acclaimed solo confessional, #DearDiary returns to Melbourne’s The Butterfly Club from 1 June 2016.

A diary-keeper since 1992, long before the cultivated Facebook status, Andi shares her most private musings from age 9 to 33. Never intended to be made public, this theatrical ‘Museum of Thoughts’ captures the human spirit which connects us all.

Unwittingly written over 24 years, #DearDiary is an existential joyride, pulled verbatim from 5,000+ pages of Andi Snelling’s lifelong diary collection. Raw and uncensored, her comically tragic tale unpacks the baggage we all carry. With self-quoting satire, physical storytelling and song, Andi bares her soul and hashtags the heck out of it.

Andi Snelling is an accomplished actor and improviser with a diverse, international career. She has been on stage her entire life, growing up as a dancer, competing at national level. She trained at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London and performed in Europe for 7 years, including in the West End and for the BBC. Upon returning to her hometown of Melbourne, she discovered an abandoned box, full of diaries never before read… until now!

“Snelling is charming, charismatic and hilarious, pulling off this unique show with a flair that grips the audience… and leaves you craving more… Outstanding.” – Glam Adelaide
