2018 Melbourne Cabaret Fringe Festival: Applications now open!

The Butterfly Club MelbourneThe 2018 Melbourne Cabaret Fringe Festival is back after last year’s festival garnered rave reviews, Green Room Award nominations and sold out houses. The festival presents independent works of cabaret from Australian artists, and runs between 2 – 14 July 2018.

The Melbourne Cabaret Fringe Festival was born in 2016 to complement the work presented at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival in the City of Stonnington. The Cabaret Fringe Festival is based at The Butterfly Club in Melbourne.

Last year’s program saw Maverick Newman’s Finding Felix nominated for 4 Green Room Awards and Tash York’s Adulting go on to take out the Best Cabaret Award at Adelaide Fringe.

“Over the past ten years we’ve seen the form bend in many different directions,”says Xander Woollard, Artistic Director. “This festival aims to showcase the diversity that is at the heart of Melbourne Cabaret.”

Expressions of Interest are now open and should be submitted via The Butterfly Club website by Monday 19 March 2018 – 9.00am. For more information and to apply, visit: www.thebutterflyclub.com for details.
